The Sundown Ukulele Band
The band plays throughout the year at various events, private functions and care homes, not for a fee but for the pleasure of sharing their music. They have been given donations throughout the year, and have very kindly decided that they would like to support us. They have raised £150 for us this year, with many people enjoying their music along the way. Our thanks to them all.
The Newly Weds - Andy and Hannah Forbes
Andy and Hannah recently got married, and as Andy works at Rolls Royce, he was offered the use of their wedding car, which was driven by Stef Cory. Instead of wedding presents, they asked for donations, and raised £227.60. Thanks for the donations, and congratulations to the two of you, we wish you all the best for your future together.

They even have a "Find and Remind" service, simply download this and every time you visit a website it will remind you if you can claim a donation.
You can find a link and instructions on this website. Once you have registered and made a purchase, simply email us the donation confirmation email and we will enter you into the draw. There is no limit to the number of entries and the competition will run to 31st January 2014.

Longer Site Opening
It has been announced recently that the site in Selsey is now going to open from March to the beginning of January each year, an extension of 2 months. This is fantastic news for us, as it means we will be able to help more families each year. However, our current caravan is not suitable for poorly children to be staying in during the height of winter. Therefore we are working hard to raise money to upgrade our caravan to one with central heating and double glazing. If you have any ideas for fundraising, and would like to discuss them with us or need our help, then please do contact us - we would love to hear from you.

Our first cake sale in August was a huge success, and there has been talk of making this an annual event. We would like to thank everyone who baked some amazing cakes for us, and to all those who turned up and helped us eat them! We even had a visit from Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, who came along with a delicious apple cake. We raised a total of £460.45, thanks for the support.

Fire Station Open Day
This was our first year at the Fire Station Open Day, and despite having to pack up early due to the rain, we had a fantastic day and met some lovely people. We had a lucky dip for the kids which went down well, but our biggest attraction was our buzz wire, which was made for us earlier this year. That caused a great deal of excitement, as not only do you get to race each other, but the looser gets squirted with water! Our thanks to Gavin for a wonderful creation.
Our Supporters
Thanks to Richard Howting, who ran the Brighton Marathon and raised £633 for the Trust.
1st Goring St Mary's Brownies had a sale and raised £50 for us. Thanks girls!

Fundraising Committee
We're looking to set up a Fundraising Committee, which would meet every couple of months to come up with and help implement some fundraising ideas. We would welcome anyone who can spare a couple of hours to attend these meetings, and who can help us promote the trust. Depending on the majority, these meetings can be during the day or in the evening. Are you interested? If so, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
